Datuk Shahril Ridza Bin Ridzuan
Datuk Shahril Ridza Bin Ridzuan was appointed as IIB’s Director/Chairman on 31 October 2018. He left his post as Chief Executive Officer of Employees Provident Fund (EPF), a position he had held since 16 April 2013 when he was made Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (KNB) on 20 August 2018.
Before joining EPF, Datuk Shahril was the Managing Director of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and had been instrumental in the development of Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Malaysia’s largest transit hub. He also managed corporate recovery and credit restructuring at Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad post-1997 Asian financial crisis.
Datuk Shahril holds a Master of Arts (First Class) from Cambridge University and Bachelor of Civil Law (First Class) from Oxford University. He has been called to the Malaysian Bar and the Bar of England and Wales
Dato’ Sri Ghazali Bin Mohd Ali
Dato’ Sri Ghazali was appointed as Director and Board Member on 6 July 2007. He is also a non-independent Executive Director of Boustead Holdings Berhad, a position he has held since 1 March 2007. He is no stranger to the property industry and served as the Managing Director of Syarikat Perumahan Pegawai Kerajaan Sdn Bhd, the Property Director of Island & Peninsular Berhad (I&P Berhad) as well as the Deputy Director General of The Urban Development Authority of Malaysia (UDA Holdings Berhad).
A fellow of Malaysian Institute of Planners, Dato’ Sri Ghazali is a Town and Regional Planning graduate from Western Australia Institute of Technology.
Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Bin Ahmad
Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Ahmad was appointed President/CEO of Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) on 1 November 2016. He brings with him over 30 years of experience and has an extensive background in engineering, construction, and property development. His roles as the President/CEO include overseeing the strategic planning and development of catalytic projects in Iskandar Puteri, as well as forming collaborative efforts with federal and state agencies, global partners, and key industrial players.
Datuk Khairil is a professional engineer and obtained his degree and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and University of Strathclyde, Glasgow respectively.
Haji Jamil Hajar Bin Abdul Muttalib
Tn. Hj. Jamil Hajar was appointed as Director and Board Member on 23 October 2009. He is also Medini Iskandar Malaysia’s Director and Chairman, Director of Iskandar Waterfront Sdn Bhd and Chairman/Director of Iskandar Coast Sdn Bhd. He had served the Government of Malaysia in Judicial and Legal services in various capacities from 1976 to 1985. Prior to his retirement in 2008, he was the Executive Vice President and Company Secretary of Bumiputra-Commerce Holdings Berhad.
He graduated in Law (LLB) from the University of London in 1974 and completed his Masters in Law a year later. He also obtained the Barrister at Law from Lincoln’s Inn in 1976.
Dato’ Haji Noorazam bin Dato’ Haji Osman
Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam was appointed as Director and Board Member on 4 June 2018. Currently, he is Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd’s (KPRJ) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and CEO of Sports Johor Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of KPRJ) that is responsible for the development of sports in Johor and the main organiser of SUKMA Johor 2020.
Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam joined the Johor Civil Service in May 1991 as Assistant District and Land Administrator of the Johor Bahru District Land Office. His previous assignments included stints where he headed the Johor State Economic Planning Unit (UPENJ), Syarikat Air Johor Holdings Sdn Bhd and served as the District Officer of Kota Tinggi and Muar up until 2017. He graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Government and Public Policy from Northumbria University, New Castle Upon Tyne, the United Kingdom.
Hajah Norliza Binti Suleiman
Puan Hajah Norliza was appointed as IIB’s Director and Board Member on 5 October 2018. She is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ). She joined KPRJ in 1996 and has served in various capacities covering areas of corporate, legal, finance, company secretarial, property development and construction.
In 2017, she was tasked to assist the State Government in the restructuring of Koperasi Iskandar Malaysia Berhad (KIMB) and was made its Chief Executive Officer.
Puan Hajah Norliza is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountant (CACA) United Kingdom and a registered member of Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA). She completed her accounting studies at Trent Polytechnic Nottingham and Emile Woolf College of Accountancy, London.
Badrul Hisham Bin Dahalan
Badrul Hisham was appointed as Director and Board Member in August 2011. He is currently the Head of Quantitative & Performance Analysis Department of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) overseeing the EPF Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), investment performance evaluation as well as the supervision of Fund Management Institutions under the EPF Members Investment Scheme.
He brings with him 25 years of knowledge and experience in capital market in various capacities and areas including investment, supervision and strategic planning while serving EPF, Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia. He also contributed to the development and implementation of Actuarial Science programme in UKM during his 5-year tenure as academician with the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
He holds Masters and Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Ball State University, Indiana, USA.
Zalinah Binti A. Hamid
Puan Zalinah was appointed as Director and Board Member on 3 November 2014. Currently, she is the Head of Domestic Equity Department at the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and has vast experience in the capital market (both sell and buy sides). A Chief Executive Officer of a private management company before joining EPF in 2005, she started her career at a broking firm before advancing to portfolio management at several trust funds and asset management companies.Puan Zalinah has a Master of Business Administration in International Business and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the New Hampshire College, USA. She also holds a Diploma in Accounting from the University Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
Amran Hafiz Bin Affifudin
Amran was appointed as Director and Board Member on 13 February 2019. Currently, he is Executive Director of Investment at Khazanah Nasional Berhad (KNB) and had served in various capacities at Ethos Capital Sdn Bhd, Nusa Capital Sdn Bhd, Palm Resort Sdn Bhd, Juwana Group of Companies and Namirah Ventures Pte Ltd, an ASEAN-focused private equity firm based in Singapore.Amran graduated in 1997 from McIntire School of Commerce, the University of Virginia, USA, with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance). He launched his career at Petroleum Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) in the same year, serving as a Corporate Finance Executive.
Haris Hardi bin Zakaria
Haris graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) with a Bachelor of Accountancy.
Haris is a Senior Vice President, Investments attached to the Iskandar Malaysia sector in Khazanah. Haris has about 18 years of working experience gathered from his previous engagements in an oil & gas company, a conglomerate, an investment bank, a stock exchange and an international audit firm. He started his career in KPMG as an Auditor and was the General Manager, Corporate Finance of SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad prior to joining Khazanah. He is a Chartered Accountant from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Shahin Farouque Bin Jammal
Shahin is the alternate director to Amran Hafiz Affifudin and is currently a Director (Investment) at Khazanah Nasional Berhad (KNB). With over 20 years in investment banking under his belt, Shahin joined KNB in 2016 and sits on several boards of creative and media companies within the Khazanah portfolio of companies.
Shahin graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (University of London) with a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Accounting and Finance).
