Balancing work, learn and play

Student and staff in EduCity™ will enjoy an integrated campus experience with ready access to shared amenities including International Student Village, the first block of apartment for student accommodation which can house up to 570 single students, 60 units of studio apartment for staff. A 12,000-seater stadium and sport complex housing sporting facilities of international tournament standards is due for completion in 2013. Primary and secondary trust schools, aimed at nurturing young local minds to become Malaysia’s future leaders, are completed and ready to be handed over to the Ministry of Education.

Student Village (SV)

The brand new 12 -1/2 storey building comprising 570 beds for single students and 60 units of apartments for staff is located in a gated compound with 24-hr card access with CCTV and multi-tier security. Located within walking distance to NUMed campus, Multi-Varsity Complex and Stadium and Sports Complex, the SV is also equipped with cafeteria, launderette, sundry shop, surau as well as indoor games room, and basketball court.

 

Sports Complex

The EduCity Stadium & Sports Complex comes with a 14,000-seater stadium comprising a world-class football cum rugby field, a 400-metre athletic track, an aquatic centre complete with Olympic-size swimming and diving pool, and an Indoor Arena with multi-courts for badminton, basketball and futsal. Other recreational options include outdoor courts for tennis, volleyball and futsal.

 

Multi-Varsity Complex (MVC)

The 7-acre MVC is designed to be the “heart” of the education hub, comprising state of the art faculties and schools fot ICT, Logistics, Engineering, Hospitality and Creative Arts. Upon completion in 2013, the MVC will be home to NMIT, University of Southampton Malaysia Campus, MMU and a future Hospitality School, the MVC will also housed a dedicated Student Centre with shared facilities such as cafeterias (400 pax) and convenience stores. Students can also use its pay-per-use facilities such as lecture theatre (200 pax)
